What we do
Degraded landscapes can be restored when ecological processes are understood and allowed to work with us rather than against us.
We develop and support ecological restoration and nature-based solutions suited to the local landscape, climate and community context. These may include biodiversity enhancement, soil and water conservation, habitat improvement, native vegetation, regenerative land management and other ecosystem-based interventions.
Stone quarrying and urban development are a reality of our growing world. But when the work is over, the land is often left behind- with an ugly scar.
Soil stripped of life, Vegetation gone. Water and natural cycles disrupted. And spaces slowly overtaken by invasive plant species.
But a degraded landscape does not have to remain a dead landscape. Restoration begins when we choose to heal what development has disturbed-by rebuilding the soil, restoring native vegetation, reviving ecological processes, and giving nature the space and time to return…..
Because development may shape our cities-but restoration can help heal soil rendered lifeless and rejuvenate it to bear life again.
We can transform abandoned quarries from scars on the landscape into beautiful living ecosystems once again.
